Privacy Policy

We keep the data footprint narrow, but this product still stores the account and generation records it needs to work.

This policy describes what Headcanon Generator collects, why that information is needed, and how it is used in the normal operation of the product. The service is built around account access, saved generations, and server-side model calls, so some data has to be stored in order for the core workflow to function.

Information we collect

Depending on how you use the product, we may store the following categories of information:

Basic account identity provided through our authentication provider, such as your user ID, email address, and profile metadata.
Generation requests you submit, including form inputs, configuration choices, and prompt-related settings.
Generation outputs, structured result data, error records, and operational metadata tied to those requests.
Minimal service logs used for debugging, abuse prevention, reliability monitoring, and cost tracking.

How we use that information

We use stored data to operate the service, not to build a separate advertising business. Typical uses include:

Signing you in and keeping your session active.
Saving generation history so you can revisit, edit, and regenerate prior work.
Charging and auditing usage where the product tracks credits or provider costs.
Debugging failures, protecting infrastructure, and investigating abuse or platform misuse.

Third-party processors

We rely on external infrastructure providers to run the service. That currently includes services for authentication, database storage, hosting, and AI model routing. In practice, that means providers such as Clerk, Neon, Vercel, and OpenRouter may process the data needed to deliver their portion of the product.

What we do not do

We do not claim ownership of your original prompts or your final creative judgment. We do not sell personal data as a product. We also do not promise that every generated output is private by default if you deliberately publish it into a public surface such as discover.

Retention and deletion

We keep account and generation records for as long as they are needed to operate the service, maintain history, resolve disputes, or investigate abuse. Some operational logs may persist for security and reliability reasons even after visible app content changes.
